July 6, 2023 – Bangkok, Thailand: A delegation of esteemed faculty members and students from Inje University, South Korea, accompanied by Prof. Kim Tae Gu, arrived at Chulalongkorn University to explore innovative initiatives at the Faculty of Engineering.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Natt Leelawat, Assistant Dean for Communications and International Affairs at Chula Engineering.
The visit commenced with an introduction to the renowned “Chula Engineering” and its cutting-edge facilities. One of the highlights of the tour was the unveiling of the revolutionary “CU Red Castle” application. This innovative application utilizes mini robots with a 3D map to guide visitors on an interactive tour around the faculty premises, providing a unique and immersive experience.
The delegation then embarked on a real faculty tour, commencing at the Chula Engineering Library, where they were introduced to the new concept of “learn-live-rest.” This concept emphasizes the seamless integration of learning, living, and leisure spaces, fostering a conducive environment for academic and personal growth.
The “Making of Innovatist Center” showcased the faculty’s commitment to technological advancements. The delegation was particularly impressed by the state-of-the-art 3D printing with laser cut technology, which is at the forefront of innovation in engineering and manufacturing.
A delightful lunch awaited the Inje delegates at Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Engineering, featuring an array of authentic Thai cuisine, providing them with an opportunity to savor the local flavors and experience Thai culture firsthand.
