July 18, 2023 – Bangkok, Thailand: Chula Engineering, under the esteemed leadership of Prof. Supot Teachavorasinskun, the Dean of Chula Engineering, had the distinct honor of extending a warm welcome to a distinguished delegation from National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Taiwan, led by Prof. Nyan-Hwa Tai, Senior Vice President. The visit, which took place on July 18, 2023, marked an important milestone in fostering multi-aspect collaboration between the two renowned institutions.
The event commenced with a cordial Welcome Address by Prof. Supot Teachavorasinskun, who expressed delight in hosting the esteemed guests from NTHU and emphasized the importance of international partnerships in advancing research and academic excellence.
Prof. Nyan-Hwa Tai reciprocated the warm welcome and introduced the delegation from National Tsing Hua University. This introduction provided an opportunity for both institutions to gain insights into each other’s strengths and areas of expertise, laying the groundwork for fruitful collaboration in the future.
The ensuing discussions centered around exploring possibilities for Multi-aspect Collaboration among NTHU and Chula Engineering. The delegates then had the privilege of visiting the Biomedical Engineering Research Center (BMERC) at Chula Engineering, where they were introduced to cutting-edge research and innovations in the field of biomedical engineering.
The morning activities concluded with a delightful lunch featuring Thai cuisine, offering the NTHU delegation a taste of Thailand’s rich culinary heritage.
In the afternoon, the NTHU delegates embarked on an insightful faculty tour, visiting various departments within Chula Engineering. The tour included stops at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Department of Mining & Petroleum Engineering, Department of Environmental Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering, and Department of Mechanical Engineering. The visitors were impressed by the state-of-the-art facilities and the dedication of Chula Engineering’s faculty and students.
As the day progressed, Chula Engineering expressed its gratitude by hosting a grand Banquet at The Bangkok Heritage @ Phayathai in the evening. The banquet provided a wonderful opportunity for the delegates to relax and engage in further discussions, solidifying the foundations of a promising and enduring partnership.
