Call for Selection of Students to Study for One Semester at the Universitat Politecnica de Valencia (Spain)

CALL FOR SELECTION OF STUDENTS TO STUDY FOR ONE SEMESTER AT THE UNIVERSITAT POLITÈCNICA DE VALÈNCIA (SPAIN), WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF ERASMUS+ KA171.

Chulalongkorn University and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) agreed to cooperate on the exchange of students and staff in the context of the Erasmus+ KA171 program.

To whom: Doctoral students of Chulalongkorn University

Where to: Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).

Period of the stay in the UPV: 1st September 2024 to 31st December 2024

What: Doctoral students will carry out a research project at the UPV as part of their doctoral thesis in the UPV’s School of Industrial Engineering.

In the degrees of Computer Engineering and Business Administration, there are very few chances of being admitted unless the student can study in Spanish, for which they must provide a Spanish B2 certificate.

ELIGIBLE STUDENTS:

PhD students from de School of Industrial Engineering (as appropriate according to the academic areas agreed in the Inter-institutional agreement.

APPLICATIONS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED: BEFORE 5 APRIL 2024 to Office of International Affairs of the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University (Assoc. Prof. Natt Leelawat, D.Eng.; international.affairs.eng@chula.ac.th)

The application should contain:

  1. Academic record.
  2. Personal CV in English.
  3. Motivation letter where the applicant expresses the reasons why she/he wishes to participate in this exchange.
  4. Doctoral students must previously agree on the stay with the UPV professor who will supervise their research during the mobility. They shall present a document that refers to the research to be carried out at the UPV, with the approval of both the thesis supervisor and the UPV professor.

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

The Selection Committee will consider the following criteria in the selection of candidates:

  1. The GPA or teaching/research experiences (up to 5 points)
  2. The motivation letter (up to 5 points)
  3. Applicant’s CV (up to 5 points)
  4. Area of research related to collaborative robots (up to 10 points)
  5. English proficiency (up to 5 points)

The list of candidates with the scores obtained will be published on the home institution website https://www.eng.chula.ac.th/en/46055 and on the Project website https://icm2022.upv.es/ The candidates will have one week to present the claims they deem appropriate to the selection committee.

After this period, the selection committee will resolve the claims, if any, and issue the final list of nominees and reserve list, which home institution website https://www.eng.chula.ac.th/en/46057 and on the Project website https://icm2022.upv.es/
