On July 19, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, led by Assoc. Prof. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit, Dean of the Faculty, warmly welcomed H.E. Mr. Rachmat Budiman, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia and Permanent Representative to the UN ESCAP.

The delegation included representatives from various Indonesian universities: Prof. Dr. Denny Nugroho Sugianto (Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro), Prof. Dr. Eng. Ni Nyoman Pujianiki ( Deputy Director for Academic and Program Planning, Postgraduate Program, Universitas Udayana), and Prof. Ir. R. Haryo D. A., ST, M.Eng., Ph.D. (Deputy Dean, School of Interdisciplinary Management and Technology, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)).

The delegation had the opportunity to visit the Water Resources Engineering Department’s laboratories to observe the research on water management conducted by the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University.

On July 15, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit, Dean of Chula Engineering, welcomed a delegation from VINAYAKA MISSION’S RESEARCH FOUNDATION (Deemed to be University). The delegation was headed by Prof. Dr. Sabarinathan Jaganathan, Pro Vice Chancellor of VMRFDU. The purpose of the visit was to participate in the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding for academic collaboration, aimed at benefiting academics, research, and student exchanges between the two institutions.

On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, led by Prof. Dr. Kasem Choocharukul, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Boonchai Lertnuwat, Assistant Dean for Administration, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Chayut Ngamkhanong from the Department of Civil Engineering, welcomed a delegation of professors and students from the Department of Civil Engineering at Paragon International University, Cambodia.

During this visit, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chayut delivered a lecture on graduate studies at the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. Following the lecture, the visiting professors and students had the opportunity to tour the department’s laboratories to observe the research activities and modern equipment utilized by the Department of Civil Engineering.

TAC-MI Intelligent Services: a Social Perspective Workshop 2023 was organized by Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, in order to allow the Ph.D. students to work together and share their ideas to propose new services solving the social problems by artificial intelligence based on the theme From Efficiency to Sufficiency.

Currently, Mr. Kumpol Saengtabtim is the 3rd year Ph.D. student with C2F scholarship under the supervision of Associate Professor Natt Leelawat, D.Eng. (Department of Industrial Engineering); and Jing Tang, D.Eng. (Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Engineering Program, International School of Engineering).

Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, as a co-organizer, joined the press conference leaded by HE Ambassador of Netherlands and co-organized water related associations (Thai Hydrologist Association, Thai Water Works Association, Engineering Institute of Thailand and The Federation of Thai Industries) for the 5th Water Forum “Strengthening Water and Environment Management in Asia Pacific through Green Technologies and Partnerships” to be organized during Thursday 31st August – Friday 1st September 2023 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) to disseminate research outputs and create sustainable water management partnership).

On July 20, 2023, Associate Professor Natt Leelawat, D.Eng., Assistant Dean for Communications and International Affairs and Associate Professor in Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, has been invited as a Keynote Speaker at the 2nd National Sustainability Summits of the Philippines by the Regional Consortium of Futures Thinking of State Universities and the Colleges of Central Visayas. The summits were organized at Cebu Technological University, the Philippines, under the theme “Sustainability for the Futures.”

Associate Professor Natt Leelawat gave a talk as the Keynote Speaker on “Engineering and Technology towards Disaster Risk Management” in the Engineering and Technology session.
