Chulalongkorn University, led by the Faculty of Engineering, in collaboration with the Chula AI Center, Sasin School of Management, and the NVIDIA AI Technology Center (NVAITC), is hosting the CU × NVAITC Symposium 2026 on 16–17 July 2026 at the Sasin School of Management, Chulalongkorn University. The symposium serves as a platform for academia, government, and industry to exchange knowledge and strengthen collaborations in artificial intelligence (AI).

The two-day symposium welcomes more than 300 participants, including researchers, industry leaders, government representatives, and distinguished speakers from across Asia, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Vietnam, China, and Indonesia, reinforcing Thailand’s growing role as a regional hub for AI collaboration and innovation.
The opening ceremony of the CU × NVAITC Symposium 2026 was held on July 16, 2026. The ceremony was presided over by Professor Wilert Puriwat, Ph.D., President of Chulalongkorn University, who emphasized the importance of collaboration among academia, government, and industry in advancing AI research and innovation for sustainable national development. Associate Professor Manoj Lohatepanont, Sc.D., Vice President of Chulalongkorn University, delivered remarks on the background and significance of the event.
A major highlight of the symposium was the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony between Chulalongkorn University and the NVIDIA AI Technology Center (NVAITC). The agreement was signed by Professor Wilert Puriwat, Ph.D., President of Chulalongkorn University, and Dr. Simon See, Global Head, NVIDIA AI Technology Center (NVAITC), NVIDIA, marking a significant milestone in expanding collaboration in AI research, talent development, high-performance computing, and technology translation. Assoc. Prof.Witaya Wannasuphoprasit, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, discussed the background and objectives of the collaboration.

The event also celebrated the official launch of the Chula AI Center, a university-wide initiative dedicated to integrating AI expertise across disciplines, accelerating interdisciplinary research, and translating cutting-edge AI innovations into real-world applications for healthcare, industry, government, and society.
The partnership between Chulalongkorn University and NVAITC began in 2018 and has continued to grow over the past eight years, encompassing collaborative research, AI talent development, high-performance computing infrastructure, and industry engagement. This year’s symposium marks the second CU × NVAITC Symposium hosted in Thailand, following the successful inaugural event hosted by Chulalongkorn University in 2024.
Throughout the two-day symposium, participants will attend keynote speeches, technical presentations, panel discussions, and research poster sessions covering a wide range of topics, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, AI Infrastructure, Robotics, Digital Twins, and AI applications in healthcare, government, and industry. The symposium also features an NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) Workshop titled “Building Agentic AI Systems with NVIDIA NeMoClaw,” providing participants with hands-on experience in developing next-generation agentic AI applications using NVIDIA technologies.
The CU × NVAITC Symposium 2026 reflects the shared commitment of the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, the Chula AI Center, the Sasin School of Management, and the NVIDIA AI Technology Center (NVAITC) to advancing AI research, cultivating world-class AI talent, and strengthening international collaboration to drive AI innovation for sustainable economic and societal impact.
