Representatives from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven) visited Chula Engineering
On January 20, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Natt Leelawat, D.Eng. (Assistant Dean for Communications and International Affairs) Assoc. Prof. Soorathep Kheawhom, Ph.D. (Head of Department of Chemical Engineering) Prof.David Banjerdpongchai, Ph.D. (Deputy Director of Innovation for Education and Research, International School of Engineering) and Assoc. Prof. Setha Pan-ngum, Ph.D. (Representative from Department of Computer Engineering) welcomed representatives from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven), including Prof. Inge Holsbeeks, Programme Director of the Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Mr. Wim Polet, Director of Campus International Office and Ms. Kantima Thongkhao, KU Leuven Liaison Officer Thailand at Suan Ruam Jai Meeting Room 2, Engineering Building 3, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. In addition to the introduction of each organization, there was a discussion on the possibility of collaboration between Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven) and the Faculty of Engineering of Chulalongkorn University. Representatives from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven) also visited Chemical Engineering Laboratory “Energy Storage” at Engineering Centennial Memorial Building, 9th floor, and Chemical Engineering Laboratory “Catalysis and Catalytic Reaction Engineering” at Engineering 5 Building, 5th floor. After that they visited to International School of Engineering Laboratory at Chula Phat 14 Building, 8th floor.

On January 19, 2023, Prof. Tawatchai Charinpanitkul, D.Eng. (Associate Dean of Academic Affairs) and Assoc. Prof. Natt Leelawat, D.Eng. (Assistant Dean for Communications and International Affairs) and Assoc. Prof. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit , D.Eng. (Director of ISE) welcomed representatives from ECAM) LaSalle, including  Mr. Cedric BELLOC (Head of ECAM Engineering Program, ECAM LaSalle Lyon, FRANCE), Dr. Sarot SRANG (Head of ECAM LaSalle Cambodia Program,CAMBODIA), Ms. Sukanya Uerchuchai (ECAM laSalle Executive Senior Advisor, (Former FTCC’s Director)) and Mr. Yosawat Iamjaroenchai at Suan Ruam Jai Meeting Room 2, Engineering Building 3, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. In addition to the introduction of each organization, there was a discussion on the possibility of collaboration in double degree and workshop between ECAM LaSalle and the Faculty of Engineering of Chulalongkorn University.

MoU signing between Chula Engineering and National Chung Cheng University
On January 12, 2023, Chula Engineering together with National Chung Cheng University signed a memorandum of understanding on general cooperation. In addition to the introduction of each organization, there was a discussion on the possibility of collaboration in student exchange and research between National Chung Cheng University and the Faculty of Engineering of Chulalongkorn University.

On January 9, 2023, Prof. Supot Teachavorasinskun, D.Eng. (Dean of Chula Engineering), Prof. Tawatchai Charinpanitkul, D.Eng. (Associate Dean of Academic Affairs) and Assoc. Prof. Natt Leelawat, D.Eng. (Assistant Dean for Communications and International Affairs) welcomed representatives from University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, The United States of America, including Dr. Michael Alexander (Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay), Mr. Brent Blahnik (Director of the Office of International Education) and Dr. Jittapim Yamprai (International Educational Partnership Collaborator) at Meeting Room 116/3, Engineering Building 3, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. In addition to the introduction of each organization, there was a discussion on the possibility of collaboration in student exchange and research between the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and the Faculty of Engineering of Chulalongkorn University.

Industrial Engineering student received the Originality Award from the TAC-MI Intelligent Services: a Social Perspective Workshop 2022, Japan
Congratulations Mr. Kumpol Saengtabtim, a Ph.D. Student in Industrial Engineering Program, who received the Originality Award, from the Tokyo Tech Academy for Convergence of Materials and Informatics (TAC-MI) Intelligent Services: a Social Perspective Workshop 2022, December 8-9, 2022, at Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall, Chiba, Japan. TAC-MI Intelligent Services: a Social Perspective Workshop 2022 was organized by Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, in order to allow the Ph.D. students to work together and share their ideas to propose new services solving the social problems by artificial intelligence. Currently, Mr. Kumpol Saengtabtim is the 2nd year Ph.D. student with C2F scholarship under the supervision of Associate Professor Natt Leelawat, D.Eng. (Department of Industrial Engineering); and Jing Tang, D.Eng. (Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Engineering Program, International School of Engineering).

On December 7, 2022, Prof. Anongnat Somwangthanaroj, Ph.D. (Associate Dean of Research Affairs) and Prof. Suttichai Assabumrungrat, Ph.D from Department of Chemical Engineering welcomed Assistant Prof. Yasuke Inomata and students from Kumamoto university, Japan at Suan Ruam Jai Meeting Room 2, Engineering Building 3, Chula Engineering. Students and professor from Kumamoto University also visited Engineering library and MI the making of innovatist Center and was received souvenir by Surat Kwanmuang, Ph.D. (lecturer from Department of Mechanical Engineering)

Representatives from Multimedia University visited Chula Engineering
On November 25, 2022, Prof. Tawatchai Charinpanitkul, D.Eng. (Associate Dean of Academic Affairs), Assoc. Prof. Chotirat Ratanamahatana, Ph.D. (Assistant Dean of Research Affairs), Assoc. Prof. Natt Leelawat, D.Eng. (Assistant Dean for Communications and International Affairs), Assoc. Prof. Thanarat Chalidabhongse, Ph.D. (Deputy Head of Research ofComputer Engineering department) and Assoc.Prof. Pisit Jarumaneeroj, Ph.D. (Chula Systems Engineering (CUSE) Secretary) welcomed Associate Professor Way-Soong Lim, Ph.D., Director of the International Relations Office, Multimedia University (MMU), Malaysia, at Suan Ruam Jai Meeting Room 1, Engineering Building 3, Chula Engineering. In this regard, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lim had a discussion about the guidelines for the initiation of research, double degree and the activities that will take place in the future. Dow joins forces with Chulalongkorn to enhance Engineering Curriculum to meet industrial demand
Bangkok – 15 November 2022 – Dow Thailand Group and the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University have signed an academic MOU to elevate the university’s curriculum through knowledge sharing from Dow experts; upskilling the chemical engineering curriculum to meet Thai industrial demand and allow students to compete in the global industrial sector. Dow is a leading global Materials Science company, developing and producing a broad range of differentiated, science-based products and solutions such as plastics, industrial chemicals, coatings, and silicones for its customers in high-growth market segments, such as packaging, mobility (especially EV cars), infrastructure, and consumer applications.
