Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University Joins China Education Expo (CEE) 2024 in Beijing to Showcase International Programs and Foster Academic Collaboration
On November 1-2, 2024, Chulalongkorn University, led by Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of the University, participated in the China Education Expo (CEE) 2024 at the China National Convention Center (CNCC) in Beijing. The delegation included senior university officials and leaders from the Faculty of Engineering, including Associate Professor Dr. Wittaya Wannasuphoprasit, Dean of the Faculty; Associate Professor Dr. Natt Leelawat, Assistant Dean for International Affairs; and Dr. Chee Keong Ngaw, representative from the International School of Engineering. . At CEE 2024, the Faculty of Engineering hosted a booth to showcase its international programs, targeting prospective students interested in pursuing engineering degrees. The booth highlighted Chula Engineering’s commitment to high-quality education and innovation, reinforcing its reputation as a leading choice in the region. . Following the exhibition, Dean of Chula Engineering and the Chulalongkorn University delegation, led by Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, visited partner universities, including Tsinghua University and Peking University. These visits focused on discussions to enhance future collaboration, with a commitment to knowledge exchange and innovation through research, faculty and student exchange, and joint program development. . Tokyo Tech AOTULE Summer Program 2025 Exchange period : June 1, 2025 – August 31, 2025 We would like to make an announcement on ” Tokyo Tech AOTULE Summer Program 2025” organized by the Engineering Schools of Tokyo Tech (School of Engineering, School of Materials and Chemical Technology, and School of Environment and Society). The exchange period will start from June 1 – August 31, 2025. Application : Postgraduate or final-year undergraduate students are eligible to apply. Up to two candidates will be selected. Chulalongkorn University Celebrates China-Thailand Diplomatic Milestone with “China Stories” Event Highlighting Chinese Enterprises’ Integration into Higher Education
Bangkok, October 25, 2024 – The Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with the Chinese Cultural Center in Bangkok, hosted the “China Stories” program, focusing on the entry of Chinese enterprises into Thai universities. This event celebrated the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the People’s Republic of China. Under the theme “Development of China-Thailand Economic, Trade, and Cultural Relations under the Framework of a China-Thailand Community with a Shared Future – Finance · High Technology · Automotive · Engineering,” the program aimed to strengthen economic, technological, and cultural ties between the two nations. . Chula Engineering and Delta Electronics Thailand Inaugurate Power Electronics Laboratory and Sign MOU for Educational Collaboration
October 10, 2024 — The Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University (Chula Engineering), in collaboration with Delta Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited, officially inaugurated the Delta Power Electronics Laboratory at Chula Engineering. This landmark event also featured the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the university and Delta Electronics, aimed at advancing research, development, and education in power electronics. . On August 24, 2024, the Toronto International Society of Innovation & Advanced Skills (TISIAS), Canada, hosted the 9th Annual Edition of the International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada (iCAN 2024). The event saw participation from innovators 50 countries and regions from around the world. . The project titled “Exploring Human’s Decision Making in Tsunami Disaster Evacuation using Virtual Reality,” by Assoc. Prof. Natt Leelawat, D.Eng. (Associate Professor, Department of Industrial Engineering, Chula Engineering), Dr. Jing Tang (Lecturer, International School of Engineering (ISE), Chula Engineering), Mr. Kao Jongsaratis and Mr. Thachapong Chumpasiri (Undergraduate students, Department of Industrial Engineering, Chula Engineering), and Mr. Nattapon Trumikaborworn (Ph.D. student, Asian Institute of Technology), won the Gold Medal at iCAN 2024.
