Call for application! ‘ the 2024 CCU/CoE International Internship Program from College of Engineering, National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan ‘ The program is open for junior bachelor, master, and doctoral students in the engineering field. Individual mentors may have a different definition of intern period. Please refer to each research topic for precise definitions. Program Eligibility : – Graduate school students (master & PhD students) – University junior students (or above). **Those who already complete PhD degree are NOT eligible to apply. **Passport holders of People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong, or Macau are NOT eligible to apply. **Current degree-seeking students, exchange, and visiting students in Taiwanese educational institutions are NOT eligible to apply. Intern Period : The College of Engineering (CoE) would provide opportunities for internships for international students for at least 8 weeks * between March 1 and December 31, 2024. * Individual mentors may have a different definition of intern period. Call for apply! ‘ 2023 NSTC International Internship Pilot Program ‘
‘2023 NSTC International Internship Pilot Program in Taiwan’ The National Science and Technology Council, Taiwan has launched a new program to invite excellent students (both undergraduate and postgraduate(Master and Ph.D.)) to Taiwan for a short-term visit (3 months). Host Unit – Interns will do their internship in Academic and Research Institutions in Taiwan. Applicant – Bachelors, masters and PhD students with foreign nationality who are studying in foreign colleges and universities and whose specialty meet the core strategic industries can apply. Subsidy – Interns will receive 30,000 NTD subsidy monthly, 3 months at most. Duration – The internship will start from July, 2023 to January, 2024, no later than 2024.03.30. The matching platform will launch in May, 2023. *For those overseas students from the Southern Hemisphere, please feel free to start your internship program from July 2023 to January, 2024. On September 25, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Natt Leelawat, D.Eng. (Assistant Dean for Communications and International Affairs) welcomed Dr. Nurhayati, S.T., M.T. (Head of Civil Engineering Master Program, Universitas Tanjungpura) and delegates from the Universitas Tanjungpura, Indonesia, at Suan Ruam Jai Meeting Room 2, Engineering Building 3, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. In addition to the introduction, there was a discussion on a general topic between Universitas Tanjungpura and Chula Engineering.

Call for applications! Singapore International Pre-Graduate Award (SIPGA)
The Singapore International Pre-Graduate Award (SIPGA) gives international students the unique opportunity to experience the vibrant scientific environment, and work with world-renowned researchers at A*STAR’s research entities. Students who are pursuing an undergraduate or Bachelor’s degree in Computing and Information Science Biomedical Science Physical Science Engineering-related disciplines and Technology can apply for attachments of two to six months in duration. Chula Engineering and Tokyo Institute Technology organized a collaborative course under the theme of Gamification for SDGs
The Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University and Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech), Japan, organized a Global Awareness for Technology Implementation (GATI) collaborative course. This course aims to create a space for sharing attitudes, culture, and social values and engaging activities together between students from the two countries under this year’s theme of Gamification for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). On August 29, 2023, Professor Supot Teachavorasinskun, D.Eng. (Dean of Chula Engineering), together with Assoc. Prof. Natt Leelawat, D.Eng. (Assistant Dean for Communications and International Affairs and Instructor of GATI), and Jing Tang, D.Eng. Lecturer of the International School of Engineering and Instructor of GATI) welcomed Prof. Rie Murakami, Ms. Yayoi Katori and students from Tokyo Tech warmly. There was an opening ceremony at True Lab @ Chula Engineering: 5G & Innovative Solution Center. They also attended a lecture by Assoc. Prof. Gridsada Phanomchoeng (Department of Mechanical Engineering) to learn Metaverse Topics. The students from both universities also visited the Autonomous Shuttle Pod. Assoc. Prof. Angkee Sripakagorn shared knowledge about innovation and technology in mechanical engineering. Chula Engineering delegates attended Harbin Engineering University’s 70th Anniversary President Forum
Harbin, September 1st 2023 – The Dean of Chula Engineering, Professor Supot Teachavorasinskun, D.Eng., and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Professor Tawatchai Charinpanitkul, D.Eng., have represented Chulalongkorn University at the prestigious Harbin Engineering University’s 70th Anniversary President Forum, China. The event, which took place from September 1-3, 2023, marked a significant occasion in global higher education collaboration. The President Forum at Harbin Engineering University gathered leaders from nearly 40 universities from 9 countries who shared their invaluable experiences and visionary ideas on the future development of higher education with the theme of “The Mission and Responsibility of Future Universities”. This intellectual exchange at the forum reflects the commitment of both Chula Engineering and Harbin Engineering University to advance and innovate in higher education. The forum served as a cornerstone event in celebrating Harbin Engineering University’s 70th anniversary. It also served as a crucial high-level platform for dialogue between the university and its esteemed global partners. On September 4, 2023, Prof. Anongnat Somwangthanaroj, Ph.D. (Associate Dean for Research Affairs), along with Assoc. Prof. Natt Leelawat, D.Eng., (Assistant Dean for Communications and International Affairs), and Assoc. Prof. Chotirat Ratanamahatana, Ph.D. (Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs), Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, welcomed the representatives from A*STAR, Nanyang Technological University and National University of Singapore, including Ms.Tay Chay Wah (Executive Director, A*STAR Graduate Academy), Ms Jamie Low (Senior Manager, International Awards, A*STAR Graduate Academy), Prof. Lee Pooi See (Associate Provost (Graduate Education) and Dean, Graduate College, NTU), Prof. Caroline Lee (Vice Dean (Outreach and Admissions), NUS Graduate School, NUS), Mr. Lincoln Leong (Communications and Digital Outreach Executive, NUS), and Prof. Soh Ghim Song (Director of Education, SUTD) at  Suan Ruam Jai Meeting Room 2, Engineering Building 3, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. Furthermore, representatives discussed with Chula Engineering ways to cooperate in the ARAP Research program and SIPGA for the Pre-Graduated internship program and supporting activities from A*STAR and other future activities.
