On August 5, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit, Dean of Chula Engineering, along with the administration and faculty members, welcomed a delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency – JICA, Japan. The delegation was headed by Mr. KAWAHARA Shuntaro, Team Leader of The Detailed Planning Survey Team. The purpose of the visit was to participate in the signing ceremony of the Minutes of Meeting between Chulalongkorn University and Japan International Cooperation Agency on Japanese Technical Cooperation for The Project for Data Driven Dynamic Transport Management in Emerging Metropolis for Climate Change Mitigation  

On August 5, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit, Dean of Chula Engineering, welcomed a delegation from the University of Georgia, USA. The delegation was headed by Bjorn Birgisson, Ph.D., P.E. Chair, School of Environmental, Civil, Agricultural and Mechanical Engineering. The purpose of the visit was to participate in the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding for academic collaboration, aimed at benefiting academics, research, and student exchanges between the two institutions.

We are proud to announce that our 4th-year Nano-Engineering students, Natchanon Jiwarawat, Thapan Leukulwatanachai, and Kunbhass Subhakornphichan, along with Nano alumni Siwagorn Limwathanagura and Sittinadh Wanotayan, under the guidance of Dr. Porpin Pungetmongkol (ISE), have made significant strides in their research endeavors. Their innovative work, titled “RAPID AND LOW-COST FABRICATION OF GRAPHENE FROM PENCIL LEAD,” has been accepted for presentation at the prestigious 24th IEEE International Conference on Nanotechnology (IEEE-NANO 2024), which will be held from July 8-11, 2024, in Gijón, Spain. . Following their presentation, Natchanon Jiwarawat, Thapan Leukulwatanachai, and Kunbhass Subhakornphichan were recognized for their outstanding contribution to the conference with an award in the NANO Student Design Competition (SDC). This accolade highlights their dedication and the high quality of their research. . On July 19, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, led by Assoc. Prof. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit, Dean of the Faculty, warmly welcomed H.E. Mr. Rachmat Budiman, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia and Permanent Representative to the UN ESCAP. . The delegation included representatives from various Indonesian universities: Prof. Dr. Denny Nugroho Sugianto (Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro), Prof. Dr. Eng. Ni Nyoman Pujianiki ( Deputy Director for Academic and Program Planning, Postgraduate Program, Universitas Udayana), and Prof. Ir. R. Haryo D. A., ST, M.Eng., Ph.D. (Deputy Dean, School of Interdisciplinary Management and Technology, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)). . The delegation had the opportunity to visit the Water Resources Engineering Department’s laboratories to observe the research on water management conducted by the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University.  

On July 15, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit, Dean of Chula Engineering, welcomed a delegation from VINAYAKA MISSION’S RESEARCH FOUNDATION (Deemed to be University). The delegation was headed by Prof. Dr. Sabarinathan Jaganathan, Pro Vice Chancellor of VMRFDU. The purpose of the visit was to participate in the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding for academic collaboration, aimed at benefiting academics, research, and student exchanges between the two institutions.  

On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, led by Prof. Dr. Kasem Choocharukul, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Boonchai Lertnuwat, Assistant Dean for Administration, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Chayut Ngamkhanong from the Department of Civil Engineering, welcomed a delegation of professors and students from the Department of Civil Engineering at Paragon International University, Cambodia. During this visit, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chayut delivered a lecture on graduate studies at the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. Following the lecture, the visiting professors and students had the opportunity to tour the department’s laboratories to observe the research activities and modern equipment utilized by the Department of Civil Engineering.
