On May 30, 2023, Mr. Viboon Waewbandit, the Governor of Nan Province, assigned Mr. Chainarong Wongyai as the chairman of the handover ceremony to present weir and Dintania Pracha Ruam Jai house to a community in Huai Nam Phia, Santa Sub-district, Nan Province. These structures were built by the students of the Witsawapat Engineering Camp, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Sanphet Chunithipaisan, Ph.D., the Associate Dean for Student Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Surat Kwanmuang, Ph.D., the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, along with the members of the Witsawapat Engineering Camp.

Weir and Dintania house construction is the 7th activity organized by the Witsawapat Engineering Camp. The objective of this activity is to collaborate with the community in addressing the issue of water scarcity during the dry season, which affects the community’s water consumption. It aims to engage students in collaborative work with the community to find sustainable solutions to the water scarcity problem. Additionally, it promotes student participation in community and social development in Thailand and fosters a sense of civic responsibility among the students.
