Prof. Siriporn Damrongsakkul, Vice Dean and lecturers welcomed executives from Western Digital (Thailand) Co., Ltd. led by Mr. Rajisr Bunya-Ananta Vice President, HDD, Dr. Sampan Silapanat, MHO and Dr. Duangporn Sompongse Senior Director, THRD. The purpose is to visit the Regional Center of Robotics Laboratory at Department of Mechanical Engineering and also an associated laboratory of Department of Chemical Engineering and Mektec Corporation Limited. Moreover, the visit also had some discussion of collaborative projects regarding the Industrial Liaison Program (ILP).

August 23, 2013 Written by pr     On Wednesday, August 7, 2013 the representatives from faculty of engineering led by Asst. Prof. Manoj Lohatepanont, Assistant Dean and Asst. Prof. Panyawat Wangyao, Department of Metallurgical Engineering joined the Memorandum of Understanding signing Ceremony between National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT), Taiwan and Chulalongkorn University signed by Professor Pirom Kamolratanakul, MD, President of Chulalongkorn University and Prof. Dr. Leehter Yao, President of NTUT. The purpose was to collaborate between both institutions in students and faculty staff exchange and research exchange for faculty of engineering and other related faculties.

The 6th ASEAN Civil Engineering Conference (ACEC) and the 6th ASEAN Environmental Engineering Conference (AEEC) were jointly organized under the theme “Civil and Environmental Engineering for ASEAN Community Development” from November 21-22, 2013 at Pathumwan Princess Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. More than 100 participants from Member Institutions (MIs), Japanese Supporting Universities (JSUs), government agency, the industry sector and AUN/SEED-Net current students and alumni attended the conference. Prof. Bundhit Eua-Arporn, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, Mr. IKEDA Shuichi, Chief Representative of JICA Thailand Office, and Mr. KONISHI Nobuyuki, Deputy Chief Advisor, JICA Project for AUN/SEED-Net, delivered inaugural addresses while keynote lectures were given to the keen audience by Prof. Ekasit Limsuwan, Former Board Member of Council of Engineers (COE), Thailand, Prof. UEDA Tamon, Division of Engineering and Policy for Sustainable Environment, Faculty of Engineering, Hokkaido University, Mr. Bodin Udol, Managing director, Utility Business Alliance Co., Ltd. (UBA) and Prof. FUJII Shigeo, Dean, Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies, Kyoto University. With the objective to strengthen research collaboration among regional academic institutions and the industries in civil and environmental engineering, the conference program included sharing of new innovations and recent research findings with presentations by distinguished professors from both ASEAN and Japan

Prof. Dr. Anongnat Somwangthanaroj Assistant Dean for Research Affairs and Dr. Phongphaeth Pengvanich Assistant Dean for International Affairs welcomed the delegations from Texas A&M University, USA. The purpose of visiting was to discuss on academic on collaboration.

International School of Engineering (ISE), Chulalongkorn University organised “ISE Chula Open House 2014” on November 9, 2014, at Faculty of Engineering. The objective of this event was to update the visitors with information about ISE Admission eligibility criteria for academic year 2015, courses taught in ISE, exchange program, achievement of our students and our successful alumni. The event was organised into various sessions which included ISE introduction, ISE experience sharing by its alumni, current students and exchange students, student life in ISE, workshops and many more. ISE offer 4 programs: Aerospace Engineering (AERO), Automotive Design and Manufacturing Engineering (ADME), Information and Communication Engineering (ICE) and Nano Engineering (NANO). Students also displayed and discussed about their learning and recent acheivements in ISE.For example, students from ISE-ADME recently designed electrical formula car which is the first electrical car in Thailand. AERO students displayed about Design, Build & Fly club where the students design and build aircrafts and match it with all the technical requirements so that it can fly high. In 2014, ISE students secured 12th rank out of 80 universities in the AIAA competition held in United States. The ICE students created CU POP BUS application which help Chula students to
