We would like to make an announcement on “AGU CSE Short Term Internship Program 2023” organized by College of Science and Engineering of Aoyama Gakuin University. The program provides participants an opportunity to conduct hands-on research project under the guidance of a faculty member at their assigned research laboratory.The period of the program is 8 weeks between June1 & July 31, 2023 Those who complete the program will receive a certificate. Application:Post graduate or final-year undergraduate students are eligible to apply. Up to 16 students will be selected. Representatives from The University of Queensland visited Chula Engineering
On October 12, 2022, Asst. Prof. Channarong Banmongkol, Ph.D. (Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs) and Assoc. Prof. Natt Leelawat, D.Eng. (Assistant Dean for Communications and International Affairs) welcomed representatives from The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia, including Prof. Aleksandar Rakic (Associate Dean of External Engagement, Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology, UQ) and Ms. Angela Li (International Engagement Manager, Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology, UQ) at Suan Ruam Jai Meeting Room 2, Engineering Building 3, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. In addition to the introduction of each organization, there was a discussion on the possibility of collaboration in the Dual Program between the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology of UQ, and the Faculty of Engineering of Chulalongkorn University. After that, Assoc. Prof. Supavadee Aramvith, Ph.D., (Associate Head for Internationalization Affairs and International Collaboration, Department of Electrical Engineering; and Head of Multimedia Data Analytics and Processing Research Unit) welcomed the representatives to the Department of Electrical Engineering’s CCTV Surveillance Testbed Center.

Call for Papers: Special Session on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for Disaster Risk Reduction in the ICA-SYMP 2023
ICA-SYMP 2023 is the third international symposium organized by the Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications, and Information Technology (ECTI) Association, and technically co-sponsored by IEEE Thailand Section, Artificial Intelligence Association of Thailand (AIAT), and Thailand Robotics Society (TRS), to provide an international platform to present technological advances, launch new ideas and showcase research work in the field of instrumentation, robotics, automation, control, and artificial intelligence. Asst. Prof. Natt Leelawat, D.Eng. (Department of Industrial Engineering, Chula Engineering) and Jing Tang, D.Eng. The James Dyson Award in Thailand 2022
The James Dyson Award is launching the James Dyson Award in Thailand on March 16, 2022! This marks the first-time ever that Thai university students are eligible to participate in the competition! The James Dyson Award is an annual international design competition, which challenges current and recent (in the last four years) design engineering university students to ‘design something that solves a problem’. The Award is an opportunity for young Thai inventors to stand a chance to win up to ฿1,330,000 in prize monies. In the last five years, They have witnessed Thai universities at the forefront of transforming education to encourage and cultivate innovation. This transformation has motivated them to launch the James Dyson Award in Thailand. Professors from TAC-MI and EISESiV of Tokyo Institute of Technology visited Chula Engineering
On March 20, 2019, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, welcomed a visit of Prof. Dr. Miki Saijo and Asst. Prof. Dr. Takumi Ohashi from the Department of Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering, School of Environment and Society, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. Prof. Saijo introduced the Tokyo Tech Academy for Convergence of Materials and Informatics (TAC-MI), a Tokyo Tech’s new cross-disciplinary educational program focused on materials and devices, and information technology, to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supot Teachavorasinskun (Dean of Chula Engineering), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tawatchai Charinpanitkul (Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs), and Dr. Natt Leelawat (Lecturer of Department of Industrial Engineering). Then, Asst. Prof. Ohashi presented about the Research Center for the Earth Inclusive Sensing Empathizing with Silent Voices (EISESiV) and their current research project. The possibilities of the internship program, exchange program, and research and curriculum collaboration have been discussed. Then, Prof. Saijo and Asst. Prof. Ohashi visited the Department of Industrial Engineering to have a meeting with Assoc. Prof. Paveena Chaovalitwongse (Department Head). Before leaving, the two professors also visited and had a short meeting with Master’s students at the Disaster and Risk Management Information Systems (DRMIS) Laboratory, Chulalongkorn University.

Matlab Chula Campus License
Chulalongkorn University by the Faculty of Engineering,  in association with the Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn Business School, the Faculty of Medicine, and the Petroleum and Petrochemical College offer a campus-wide license to MATLAB, Simulink, and companion toolboxes.  All faculty members, staffs, and students may access these products on their machines operating on Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, and Linux, under this license. Installation Steps for New Users Please create your MathWorks account via https://www.mathworks.com/mwaccount/register using your university e-mail address that ends with @chula.ac.th or @student.chula.ac.th.  Then verify your e-mail address through the university mailbox,  follow the link in the verification e-mail to set your password, and login with the newly createed credentials at https://www.mathworks.com/login Choose “Associate to an additional license” and fill the 25-digit Activation Key 80280-30759-39553-05640-43995 and click the “Associate License” button.  Now you can use this <<link>> (only from inside Chula campus) or proceed to https://www.mathworks.com/downloads to download the program for installation.
