Chula Engineering, in collaboration with Tokyo Tech, organized the 8th Global Awareness for Technology Implementation program (GATI#8) under the theme of Gamification for SDGs.

The Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, and Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech), Japan, jointly organized the 8th Global Awareness for Technology Implementation (GATI#8), a collaborative course to learn and engage in academic activities in 2023, which is part of the course 2100310 Global Awareness for Technology Implementation. It is for students of both institutes to exchange learning and activities together, including learning about culture, traditions, laws, regulations, beliefs, ideas, practices, and social values under the 2023’s theme of Gamification for SDGs. During December 18-22, 2023, Associate Professor Natt Leelawat, D.Eng. (Assistant Dean for Communications and International Affairs; Course Coordinator), along with Jing Tang, D.Eng., Lecturer of the International School of Engineering; Course Coordinator), Associate Professor Proudpan Punyabukkana​, Ph.D. (Program Advisor), Head of Educational Administration, Academic Affairs Division, and engineering students traveled to participate in this program, Campus tour, Lab tour, and Workshop at Tokyo Tech, Ookayama Camous, Japan, with the warm welcome and hospitality from Prof. Eri Ota, Assoc. Prof. Rie Murakami-Suzuki, Ms. Yayoi Katori and students from Tokyo Tech.

They also participated in studying innovation, briefing of service of the wellness, SDGs, with executives/team members from NEC Main Office, Google Shibuya Office, SDGs Fieldwork and Company tour @ Kayac, and Plastic factory tour @ Keio Kamakura Laboratory. They welcomed and provided knowledge exchange experience in innovation and technology, as well as information related to student projects under the theme of Gamification for SDGs. Finally, the final presentation of the students from Chula Engineering and Tokyo Technology was conducted, and the students received a certificate for participating in this project from the executives of Tokyo Tech, which marked the end of the teaching and project work together.
