On March 8, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Natt Leelawat, D.Eng. (Assistant Dean for Communications and International Affairs), Prof. Varong Pavarajarn, Ph.D. (Advisor to the Chemical and Process Engieering Program) and Asst. Prof. Pimporn Ponpesh, Ph.D. (Deputy Directer for Student Affairs and Public Relations, International School of Engineering), Chula Engineering, welcomed Mr. FURUICHI Yoshihiro (Head Teacher) and Mr. NAGAI Yusuke (Science Teacher, Career Guidance Division (Asian countries)) from Hiroshima Global Academy, Japan, at Suan Ruam Jai Meeting Room 2, Engineering Building 3, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. In addition to the introduction of each organization, there was a discussion on the possibility of collaboration in the future between Hiroshima Global Academy and the Faculty of Engineering of Chulalongkorn University. After the meeting, the representatives from Hiroshima Global Academy also visited Chula Engineering Library.

On March 3, 2023, Professor Takayuku Aoki, the Deputy Director of the Global Scientific Information and Computing Center of Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, visited the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, and gave a presentation at the special seminar at the Department of Civil Engineering, Chula Engineering. There were Professor Anat Ruangrassamee, Ph.D. (Department of Civil Engineering), Assoc. Prof. Natt Leelawat, D.Eng. (Department of Industrial Engineering; and Assistant Dean for Communications and International Affairs), Asst. Prof. Piyatida Ruangrassamee, Ph.D. (Department of Water Resources Engineering), Tanawat Tangjarusritaratorn, Ph.D. (Department of Water Resources Engineering), Mr. Pongsit Polsomboon (Ph.D. Student of Water Resources Engineering) from Chula Engineering and Asst. Prof. Panon Latcharote, Ph.D. (Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Mahidol University), attended the seminar. The presentation included the applications of computing research using the Super Computer TSUBAME at Tokyo Tech. The potential collaboration was also discussed.

On March 1, 2023, Prof. Tawatchai Charinpanitkul, D.Eng. (Associate Dean for Academic Affairs), Assoc. Prof. Natt Leelawat, D.Eng. (Assistant Dean for Communications and International Affairs), Prof. Varong Pavarajarn, Ph.D., and Assoc. Prof. Pattaraporn Kim, Ph.D. welcomed Prof. Nyan-Hwa Daniel Tai (Provost/Senior Vice President) and Prof. Ruey-An Doong (Dean of Tsing Hua International College) from the National Tsing Hua University and representatives from National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), at Suan Ruam Jai Meeting Room 1, Engineering Building 3, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. In addition to the introduction of each organization, there was a discussion on the possibility of collaboration in environmental research, Carbon neutrality, net zero emission, and student exchange opportunities between National Tsing Hua University and the Faculty of Engineering of Chulalongkorn University. Representatives from National Tsing Hua University and National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC) also visited Center of Excellent in Catalytic Reaction Engineering and Center of Excellent in Particle Technology.

On February 6, 2023, Prof. Supot Teachavorasinskun, D.Eng (Dean of Chula Engineering) and Assoc. Prof. Natt Leelawat, D.Eng. (Assistant Dean for Communications and International Affairs) welcomed representatives from Yoshida Survey Design Co. Ltd. at Suan Ruam Jai Meeting Room 1, Engineering Building 3, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. In addition to the introduction of each organization, there was a discussion on the possibility of collaboration in internship between Yoshida Survey Design Co. Ltd. and the Faculty of Engineering of Chulalongkorn University.

On February 2, 2023, Prof. Supot Teachavorasinskun, D.Eng. (Dean of Chula Engineering), Prof. Tawatchai Charinpanitkul, D.Eng. (Associate Dean of Academic Affairs), Asst. Prof. Channarong Banmongkol, Ph.D. (Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs)  and Assoc. Prof. Natt Leelawat, D.Eng. (Assistant Dean for Communications and International Affairs) welcomed President and executives from Lunghwa University of Science and Technology at Suan Ruam Jai Meeting Room 2, Engineering Building 3, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. In addition to the introduction of each organization, there was a discussion on the possibility of collaboration in double degree and workshop between Lunghwa University of Science and Technology and the Faculty of Engineering of Chulalongkorn University.

The 2023 CCU/CoE International Internship Program is open to apply. The application deadline is 1 March 2023. This project-based program is open for junior bachelor, master, and doctoral students in the engineering field. It allows students to do research in the laboratory under the guidance of the project mentor. During the internship period, the students will acquire new competence, communicate with team members, and experience a different culture. The intern period is at least 8 weeks, mainly between May and December. The students need to start the internships no later than the end of December. In some cases, the internship may last until next February. On 17 January 2023, the team from James Dyson Foundation organized a James Dyson Award (JDA) info session and prototyping workshop in Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University for 200 engineering students. The workshop challenges students to think like engineers – and to turn their ideas into working prototypes through Dyson design process. The outcome of this workshop aims to give budding inventors the opportunity to develop their problem-solving, creativity and communication skills. In the session, students were also introduced to the James Dyson Award (JDA) , an international design award that celebrates, encourages and inspires the next generation of design engineers. On Thursday, 19 January 2023, during 9.00-11.00 am, the 9th Steering Committee Meeting of the SATREPS Area-BCM (DREAM) Project was held in a hybrid manner at the Faculty Committee Room, Engineering Building 3, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. The purpose of this meeting was to report the overall progress and plan of activities. For this Steering Committee, the meeting was moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ruttiya Bhula-or. Prof. Dr. Supot Teachavorasinskun, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University as a Project Director, started with welcome remarks to all 31 participants, both 21 participants onsite and 10 participants online: professors, researchers, and students from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, and Japan. Also, it is a pleasure to welcome the participants from the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM), Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA Thailand). The Project Director pointed out the good collaboration with cordial coordination among all sectors: governmental agencies, collaborative entities, and the private sector for the project.
