Tokyo Tech AOTULE Summer Program 2021
We would like to make an announcement on” Tokyo Tech AOTULE Summer Program 2021” organized by the Engineering Schools of Tokyo Tech (School of Engineering, School of Materials and Chemical Technology, and School of Environment and Society). The exchange period will start from June 1 to August 31, 2022. In the three-month research-oriented program, participants will have an opportunity to conduct research projects under the supervision of Tokyo Tech’s faculty members, take some designated courses, and experience Japanese culture. In addition, students are required to present their work and home institution during a two-day workshop called the Multidisciplinary International Student Workshop (MISW) 2021. Application:Postgraduate or final-year undergraduate students are eligible to apply. Up to two candidates will be selected. Chula Engineering students won the 3rd Winner from the ASEAN Data Science Explorer 2021 Thailand
The SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Training with Chula Engineering was organized on May 25, 26, and 29, 2021, by the Chula Engineering’s International Affairs Office in collaboration with ASEAN Foundation and SAP. The trainers included Associate Professor Oran Kittithreerapronchai, Ph.D. (Lecturer of the Department of Industrial Engineering), Amonsiri Vilasdaechanont, Ph.D. (Lecturer of the Department of Industrial Engineering), and Jing Tang, D.Eng. (Lecturer of the Robotics and Artificial Engineering Program, International School of Engineering). It was the training to increase the skill of data visualization using SAC. After the training, many students joined the ASEAN Data Science Explorer 2021 competition organized by ASEAN Foundation and SAP. There were 6 teams from Chulalongkorn University that passed to the national final 10 teams. And after the national final round on August 26, 2021, Team DoubleT from Chula Engineering won the 3rd Winner Award from the ASEAN Data Science Explorer 2021 Thailand. Team DoubleT consists of Ms. Thita Wongwanit (Undergraduate student of the Department of Industrial Engineering) and Mr. Tarm Kalavantavanich (Undergraduate student of the Department of Computer Engineering) The project of DoubleT is called Strategies for Cleaner and More Sustainable ASEAN which supports the Sustainable Development Goals SDG7, SDG11, and SDG12.

The 17th CDIO International Conference (CDIO2021)
The 17th CDIO International Conference (CDIO2021) organized by Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University and Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) during 21-23 June 2021 under the theme of “Re-imagining Engineering Education for the New Normal” was successfully completed. As starting the 17th CDIO2021 conference, Prof. Dr. Supot Teachavorasinskun, the Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University (CU) and Assist. Prof. Dr. Sommai Pivsa-Art, the president of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) gave the warm welcome speeches to the honorable guests and attendees from worldwide. During these 3 days, we were busy with 2 Keynotes for The 1st KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Dr. Pailin CHUCHOTTAWORN; Chairman of the Board and Independent Director, the Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited. Free Online Lecture Series in the “Emergency Management Workshop”
The Risk and Disaster Management Program, Graduate School, Chulalongkorn University in collaborations with the SATREPS Regional Resilience Enhancement through Establishment of Area-BCM at Industry Complexes in Thailand (DREAM/Area-BCM) Project; the Disaster and Risk Management Information Systems Research Group, Chulalongkorn University; and the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, presents the Emergency Management Workshop. The workshop providesfree online lecture series in 3 days, April 27-29, 2021. All lectures are conducted in English. Chula Engineering students won the Bitkub Tech Challenge’s First Prize, First Runner-up Award, and Honorable Mention Awards
On Saturday, April 3, 2021, Bitkub Capital Group Holdings Co., Ltd. together with its affiliates held the final round Bitkub Tech Challenge to find young developers for blockchain technology circles. Mr. Jirayut Srupsrisopa, CEO of Bitkub Capital Group Holdings Co., Ltd., revealed the purpose of organizing the Bitkub Tech Challenge this time, which is to find new generations of people in technological career. Another significant purpose is to help software developers have a better understand in blockchain technology since the skill in this technology is the 1st most demanded one in the world and in Thailand and the personnel equipped with this skill is still lacking in this industry. Bitkub aims to be a company that supports young people and creates blockchain technology personnel for Thailand, as well as presenting students a vision on working in the start-up industry or even creating their own start-ups.
