Researchers from Chulalongkorn University and National Taiwan University exchange knowledge on tolling system in Thailand and Taiwan

January 23-24, 2018.  A study team from Chulalongkorn University (CU) and National Taiwan University (NTU) organized a study visit and international seminar on Tolling system in Thailand and Taiwan.

A study team led by Associate Professor Dr. Sorwait Narupiti and Professor Jason Chang undertook a cooperative research study on Tolling system. The objectives of this study project are:

  1. Present situations of toll system in Thailand and Taiwan
  2. Present new technologies in tolling
  3. Exchange knowledge through discussion on problems and experience in working on toll system and its future direction

On January 23, 2018, the study team visited Motorway Central Control Building (CCB) and observed toll operation at a Motorway toll plaza and visited Expressway Authority of Thailand toll operations.

On January 24, 2018, International Seminar on Tolling system in Thailand and Taiwan was organized at Room 213, Engineering 3 Building, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. This seminar gave arena for toll organization officers, researchers, and participants to exchange knowledge on present tolling system and opportunity for future tolling system development.
