EnglishWe would like to make an announcement on “Nagaoka Summer School for Young Engineers 2018” organized by Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT). The program offers students the opportunity to participate in research on topics set by the laboratories at NUT, as well as experience cultural exchange from activities with NUT students.
The program period will start from 20 August to 31 August 2018
This program is free of charge for successful applicants. In addition, NUT will provide each participant a scholarship for 40,000 JPY and accommodation in Nagaoka during the program.
Who should apply:
3rd year undergraduate students who study in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering. Bioengineering, Information and Management Systems Engineering and Nuclear System Safety Engineering. Up to 20 candidates will be selected.
Application:
Students who are interested in this program must submit application documents at International Affairs Office, Building 3 (Next to the Dean’s Office) within 15 March 2013 and later send the application documents via post within 13 April 2018 (The documents must arrived by this date)
The application documents are 1) Application Form (download from: http://www.nagaokaut.ac.jp/e/kokusai/nassye.html) 2) Certificate of Enrollment 3) Academic Transcript 4) Recommendation Letter and 5) Copy of the English language proficiency test (TOEFL, TOEIC, or IELTS).
Additional Info:
Selected candidates are required to purchase their air-tickets to/from Japan and health insurance at their own expenses.
