The Computer Science Department at the University of California, Santa
Barbara (UCSB) is inviting applications for its PhD and MS programs
(application deadline is December 15th). The PhD positions are funded by
the Department using research assistantships (RA), teaching assistantships
(TA) and fellowships (including a new IGERT fellowship on network science,
http://networkscience.igert.ucsb.edu), and cover living and educational
expenses of admitted students.  Students can apply to the PhD program
directly after obtaining their undergraduate degrees in computer science or
in a related field of science or engineering. MS students are not guaranteed
funding but many are hired as TAs and some transition to the PhD program.

The Computer Science Department at UCSB is a young, energetic, and dynamic
department, world renowned for its strong research program and award winning
faculty. Our rankings have climbed faster than any other department over
the last several years. Recent ranking of the graduate programs by the
National Research Council (NRC) puts our department in the top ten in the

Post-Doctoral Opportunity in Robotics at
Chulalongkorn University

We are seeking for an outstanding and motivated post-doctoral researcher to conduct the frontier research in robotics at the Chulalongkorn University Robotics Laboratory (CURL). Current themes of the research include, but not restricted to, service robots, mobile robots, autonomous robots, haptics, and
teleoperation. Here are some details regarding to the qualification and job description of this position.

Eligibility
1. Receive a doctoral degree from a recognized institution in the past five years and the topic of the dissertation is in the robotics field.
2. Age < 35 years
2. High passion in conducting an independent research in robotics under the supervision.
3. Strong analysis in robotics, mathematics, and control.
4. Experience in robot hardware, design, analytical tools, and programming.
5. Up-to-date with the concurrent trends in robotics research.
6. Ability to publish the work in recognized journals.

Job Descriptions
1. Perform the research of the assigned topics in service robots, mobile robots, autonomous robots, haptics, teleoperation, or other interested topics.
2. Write the technical reports for the conducted projects.
3. Publish the work in recognized journals.
4. Supervise the research of the undergraduate and graduate students in the laboratory.

Benefits
Compensation of 35,000 baht per month for two years (yearly basis performance evaluation)
